Who we are

Durusi helps private tutors track lessons, attendance and monthly reports.

What we collect

Internet is required only for your first sign-in; after that the app works offline.

Location — not collected

The app asks for location permission for two features, both entirely on-device: picking a lesson's location on the map, and reminding you when you arrive (a 150-metre geofence).

Your location is never sent to any server, never to us, and your movements are never logged. Only your operating system knows where you are; it tells the app when you enter a lesson area. A lesson's coordinates are stored with that lesson, so they are included if you upload a copy.

The map uses OpenStreetMap tiles; your IP reaches their servers as with any browsing. We send them nothing about you.

Subscription

Payment is handled entirely by Google Play. We never see or receive your card details. We store only the date your subscription was last verified, on your phone.

Your students' data — your responsibility

The student names you enter are data about other people, who may be minors. Without an upload they stay on your phone and we never see them; if you upload, they are stored in your account.

You are responsible for the lawfulness of entering this data. We suggest using first names only, or a nickname sufficient to tell students apart. Where GDPR or equivalent law applies, you are the data controller and we are the processor.

Sharing

We do not sell your data or share it for marketing. Ever.

• Google Play — processes the subscription
• OpenStreetMap — map tiles only

We may disclose data if legally compelled.

Android automatic backup

Android may save a copy of the app's data to your Google account, encrypted with your screen lock. This is an operating-system feature we neither control nor can access. Turn it off in Settings → Google → Backup.

Security

• Cloud connections are always encrypted (HTTPS).
• Access rules prevent any user from reading another's data.
• Passwords are managed by Firebase and never visible to us.

Your rights

Deletion is immediate and permanent. To request deletion without installing the app, email rami.elgayyar@gmail.com.

Retention

We keep your data while your account exists. On deletion it is erased immediately, with no copies retained.

Children

The app is intended for adult tutors and we do not collect data from children directly. See "Your students' data" above.

Changes

We will update the date above for any change, and notify you in the app if the change is significant.
